I didn’t get PJ untill collab with Neil Young. I grew up among people with diverse taste of music. 3 years prior this concert I pledge to follow footsteps of Neil Young. All because of my sister want a guitar in her birthday and that thing stuck with me instead of her. And I saw Neil on telly live. And that moment were forgotten for 20 odd years untill my childhood friend asked me, do you remember when you said, who want to be? To make my story short they are my true north. Guiding lights in every questioning existence. It is not just Eddie but Pearl Jam as whole as Neil Young and Crazy Horse that make em great.

If you're surprised you can't find the fire of 1992, try putting yourself in the shoes of the band members. Mike McReady was emerging from years of addiction and battling Crohn's disease, Stone Gossard and Jeff Ament had, like Eddie Vedder, tried to survive their sudden fame, at a point they nearly broke up. Eddie was already in a bad way between 1992 and 1994, mainly because he no longer had any privacy, forcing him to stay cooped up at home, he couldn't stand seeing his face and clothes everywhere and a crazed fan had driven her car into the wall of his house. When Kurt committed suicide in April '94, Eddie confessed to having the same thoughts, and went ballistic on hearing of his death. Eddie could have been following Kurt at the time - think about it, listen to the lyrics of the Vitalogy album, where he's at the end of his life! So the only way to survive the whole circus was to stop communicating and reduce the audience, which is also why Eddie stopped his concert antics. And then, classic, his fame and passion for music made him neglect his marriage, and in 2000 he got divorced. You can see how scarred he is during this concert, which is nonetheless of the highest quality. Personally, I love the albums released between 1995 and 2000, which are no longer grunge but magnificent alternative art rock ❤️ I don't like the later albums as much, but I admire their freedom. Let's be glad we still have them, happy and in great shape!

Idk if this is a hot take or not but I honestly think the 2000’s were the best era for metal period. So many amazing bands with something unique and interesting to bring to the table and SOAD is a perfect example of that.

This is golden age sh*t for me. I was born in '74. I remember being at Hastings around '96 and doing that listening station shit with Machine Head. Every fkn riff was solid as hell. I knew this band was the sh*t.

They are crazy beyond belief and skilled AF. Gotta love 'em

I was 35 when I first heard PJ in '92, I had stopped listening to classic rock for a few years by now and was steeped in the jazz and blues and then redemption came for classic rock in the form of Pearl Jam. 😢
